I was getting this with FreeServe & Genesis. With one of the numbers used to
get the
repeated yellow alert (!) and massive chipRAM drain, with the other one fine
until the
"can't put ppp online". It was a CHAP auth. failure at the underlying level.
It didn't happen
with Termite, or MiamiDx demo though (as much)...
Perhaps the "use another appp.device" fix for BTInternet mentioned a while
back will work?
TBH it also happens sometimes on my Pee Sea too...
